Rochelle Berliner is a dedicated criminal defense attorney serving clients throughout the five boroughs of New York City, as well as in Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester Counties. With more than 26 years of experience, she provides robust representation for those facing criminal charges. Her career includes over 14 years as a prosecutor in the New York County District Attorney's Office in Manhattan, where she handled numerous high-profile prosecutions from investigation to trial.

Six years ago, Ms. Berliner transitioned to private practice, establishing the Law Offices of Rochelle Berliner. She combines her extensive trial experience with a meticulous and scholarly approach to defense, challenging the prosecution's case with precision.

Ms. Berliner has achieved significant success in litigating civil rights cases involving the NYPD, gaining national attention for her work in cases of police misconduct, including police brutality, wrongful arrest, and malicious prosecution. Rochelle Berliner was raised in Queens, NY, and completed her undergraduate studies at New York University, earning a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism in 1981. She began her career in journalism, working as a newscaster in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and later as a political correspondent in Hartford, covering significant political events.

In 1984, she advanced to become the news director at a local radio station, anchoring the morning news and contributing as an on-air reporter and scriptwriter for a nationally-syndicated program broadcast on 200 radio stations.
