Sandra K. Cassidy

Sandra K. Cassidy is a dedicated attorney at HoganWillig, where she focuses on Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, and Criminal Defense. With a robust history as a former criminal prosecutor for both the Erie County and Genesee County District Attorney's offices, she brings considerable expertise to her practice.

Ms. Cassidy's notable career includes serving as legal counsel for renowned environmental advocate Erin Brockovich. In this capacity, she investigated chronic cancer complaints in two New York towns, one involving illegal cross-border toxin dumping. Before joining HoganWillig, she practiced law independently in the Western New York region.

Passionate about mentoring future legal professionals, Ms. Cassidy is a professor of Criminal Law and Procedure at Bryant and Stratton College. She has also contributed to legal literature, authoring the manual "Vaccine Victims, Proving Your Case to the Special Masters."

Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Northern Arizona University and graduating cum laude from the University of Buffalo Law School in 1985. Ms. Cassidy further honed her skills at Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College in 2002, an institution known for its selective admission.

Ms. Cassidy is admitted to practice in all New York State Courts, the Federal Court Western District of New York, the United States Court of Federal Claims, and the United States Supreme Court.
