Joseph Edward O'Connor

Joseph Edward O'Connor, a lifelong resident of the Hudson Valley, brings over twenty years of legal expertise to his role as managing partner of the firm. He leverages his deep community ties to effectively serve his clients. Joseph completed his undergraduate studies at Brown University in 1993, where he was an accomplished athlete in both football and golf. He earned his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law in 1996.

Joseph dedicates his practice to representing individuals who have suffered serious and catastrophic injuries due to construction, motor vehicle, motorcycle, and bicycle accidents, as well as defective products. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, and Eastern Districts of New York. Additionally, he has been admitted pro hac vice in New Jersey, Utah, and Texas.

A leader in the legal community, Joseph serves on the Board of Directors for the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers and frequently delivers Continuing Legal Education lectures both statewide and nationally. His professional affiliations include the American Association for Justice, the New York State Judicial Screening Committee, the American Bar Association, the Ulster County Bar Association, and the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys.

Joseph has been consistently recognized as one of the top 25 lawyers in the Hudson Valley and Upstate New York by Super Lawyers from 2015 through 2022. He holds a prestigious Martindale-Hubbell A.V.
