Kevin Charles Harp

Kevin Charles Harp, an associate at Mainetti, Mainetti & O’Connor, P.C., focuses his practice on Personal Injury litigation, Civil Defense, and Misdemeanor and Felony Criminal Defense. Kevin earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University at Albany before attending Albany Law School. There, he served as the Third Year Class President and was part of a trial team that triumphed at the Northeast Regional Competition in Rhode Island.

Following law school, Kevin joined Harp & Harp, where he gained experience in diverse legal areas, including commercial transactions, matrimonial law, family law, real property law, and estate law. After four years, he transitioned to the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office in December 2004. As a Trial Attorney, he prosecuted a wide array of criminal law cases.

Kevin's dedication led to his promotion to Senior Assistant, where he managed the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team and supervised attorneys handling drug-related cases. Throughout his prosecutorial career, Kevin tried over 20 felony cases, including charges of murder (as second chair), assault, gang assault, burglary, robbery, grand larceny, drug possession, drug sales, rape, and criminal possession of a weapon. He successfully litigated complex cases, such as circumstantial evidence trials, a shooting case without the victim's testimony, and a cold case burglary trial.
