Peter Christopher Lomtevas

Peter Lomtevas is a distinguished family law attorney specializing in divorce, child support, and child custody matters. He began his academic journey at The Kew Forest School from 1966 to 1978, followed by Hofstra University from 1978 to 1981. He later earned his law degree from Touro College Law Center between 1993 and 1996. Peter is a proud member of the New York State Bar Association.

Throughout his career, Peter has been recognized with several civilian awards, including the Distinguished Public Service Award in 2006 from the Brooklyn Borough President and the Businessman of the Year award in 2006 from the National Republican Congressional Committee. He was also honored with the Conspicuous Service Medal on November 15, 2007, by Serphin Maltese.

Peter's legal practice is supported by his broad admissions across various courts, including the US Supreme Court, US Court of Claims, and multiple US Courts of Appeals. He is also admitted to the bar in New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, and has an inactive status in Georgia.

In addition to his legal career, Peter has a notable military background. He attended the Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia, in 1981, and completed the Infantry Officer Basic Course in 1982. His military service includes time with the US Army Berlin Brigade from July 1982 to May 1985, and he participated in the Infantry Officer Advanced Course at Fort Benning in 1985. Peter also served at Fort Dix from October 2, 1985, to March 23, 1989, and attended the Combined Arms Services Staff School at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, in 1987. He was part of the University of Delaware Army ROTC program from August 14, 1989, to July 1, 1993, and completed the Air Assault School at Fort Belvoir, Maryland, in 1991.
