Travis J. Vernier

Travis J. Vernier, an accomplished attorney in Bethany, Oklahoma, graduated magna cum laude from Oklahoma City University School of Law as a Merit Scholar. During law school, he excelled academically, earning CALI Excellence Awards in Civil Procedure I, Judicial Research and Writing II, Trial Legal practice area, and Corporations law. He contributed as a Staff Editor for the Oklahoma City Law Review and was inducted into honor societies, including Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Delta Phi. His legal acumen was sharpened through internships at various law firms and a judicial externship with the Chief Judge of the Oklahoma County District Court.

Before his legal career, Vernier served as a commissioned police officer, with roles ranging from patrol duties to detective work. As a detective, he specialized in investigating crimes against children, including child homicides, gaining skills that are invaluable in his legal practice today. His exemplary service earned him numerous commendations, such as a Life-Saving Award for rescuing a man from a burning car and the prestigious Medal of Honor for his actions during an officer-involved shooting. Additionally, he received the Committee of 100's H.K. "Tony" A Calvert Award for bravery. After more than a decade in law enforcement, Vernier retired as a Detective Sergeant and co-founded Bennett Vernier with Les Bennett.

Vernier also holds a bachelor's degree in Politics and Law from Southern Nazarene University, further enriching his understanding of the legal field.
