Kellie S. Howell

Kellie S. Howell is a highly skilled attorney practicing in the areas of family law and criminal defense. She was honored as a Super Lawyers Oklahoma Rising Star from 2018 through 2022, an accolade awarded to only 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state each year.

Before joining Sansone Howell, Kellie was the founding attorney of Howell Law Office, PLLC. Her previous experience includes roles at the Hunsucker DUI Defense Firm, Oklahoma Juvenile Justice Center, and as a faculty member at the Oklahoma City University School of Law. Kellie is admitted to practice in all Oklahoma state courts and the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.

Kellie is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Robert J. Turner American Inn of Court. She also serves as Chair for the Oklahoma County Bar Association Law Day committee.

Educationally, Kellie holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of Central Oklahoma, graduating Cum Laude, and a Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University, also graduating Cum Laude. During law school, she held leadership positions such as President of the Merit Scholars, Vice President of the American Bar Association, and Historian for Phi Delta Phi. She interned with the Oklahoma County Public Defender, Juvenile Division, and was recognized as a Holloway Scholar by the Oklahoma City Federal Bar Association.

A proud veteran, Kellie served in the United States Air Force as a Security Police Officer at Spangdahlem Air Force Base in Germany and Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX, where she was named Airman of the Quarter. Her service extended to tours in Tuzla, Bosnia, Al Kharj, Saudi Arabia, and Muscat, Oman, earning her the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal, and the NATO Medal.

In her personal time, Kellie enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and sharing life's adventures with her family.
