About Michael Hanley
Michael Patrick Hanley was born in Hammond, Louisiana. After serving in the United States Army and Army Reserve, he earned his undergraduate degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. Following his studies, Michael embarked on a three-decade career with the Boy Scouts of America while also working as a Licensed Auctioneer, specializing in Real Estate and Charity Benefit Auctions.
In 2014, Michael was appointed by Texas Governor Rick Perry to the Board of Trustees for the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, and he was reappointed by Governor Greg Abbott in 2018. He served on this board until relocating to Oklahoma in 2023.
Retiring from his previous industries in 2019, Michael chose to pursue a lifelong ambition of practicing law. He graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2022. In 2023, he moved to Enid, Oklahoma, where he began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Garfield County District Attorney's office.
