About Lisa Johnston-Porter
Lisa Johnston-Porter, Esq., serves as the Managing Partner at Johnston Porter Law Office, P.C., where she focuses on Social Security Disability, Workers Compensation, and personal injury law. Raised in Southern Oregon, Lisa's early experiences with her mother's disability, specifically Multiple Sclerosis, ignited her passion for advocating for individuals with disabilities. Her journey into law began as a lead paralegal for eight years, working alongside a handicapped attorney, which deepened her understanding of the challenges faced by those with disabilities both at home and in the workplace.
After graduating from Lewis and Clark Law School in 1995, Lisa clerked with the firm Pozzi, Wilson, Atchison, where she concentrated on workers recovery appeals, personal injury, and Social Security Disability. Her involvement in breast implant class action litigations at Pozzi sparked an interest in class actions, leading her to manage large-scale class action lawsuits as a corporate attorney and account executive.
In 2002, Lisa embarked on her solo career, founding Johnston Porter Law Office, P.C., where she continued to provide legal services in Workers Compensation, personal injury, and Social Security Disability. By 2011, her practice had grown to focus primarily on Social Security Disability law. In 2012, she expanded her firm by acquiring the practice of retiring attorney David Lowry, forming one of the largest disability practices in the Northwest under KP Law, PC.
In 2015, KP Law, PC was integrated into the Johnston Porter Law Office, P.C., further solidifying its reputation as a leading disability law firm in the Pacific Northwest, with services extending across Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Northern California.
