Michael Applebaum

Michael H. Applebaum has dedicated over four decades to the practice of law in Pennsylvania, trying hundreds of cases and representing thousands of clients. His commitment to professionalism, honesty, and effective trial strategies has earned him widespread respect among judges, jurors, peers, and the community.

One of Michael's most notable cases involved the tragic murder of Philadelphia teenager Eddie Polec on November 11, 1994, a case that inspired the book "In Eddie’s Name: One Family’s Triumph over Tragedy." He began his academic journey at Temple University in Philadelphia, working as a longshoreman to support his studies. In 1964, he graduated with a B.S. in Accounting and a Minor in Journalism and Communications.

Michael earned a full scholarship to the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, where he was a member of the Law Review and graduated in the top 10% of his class in 1967 with a Juris Doctor degree. During his time in law school, he chaired the Law Student Civil Legal Rights Counsel, advocating for the rights of minorities and organizing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s speaking engagements.
