Sheri Dee Coover

Sheri D. Coover, Esquire, is a highly regarded attorney with strong connections to Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. Originally from Shippensburg, she completed her high school education at Shippensburg Area High School in 1987. Prior to pursuing her legal career, she gained valuable experience working at Sprint and the Cumberland County Courthouse. As a single mother of four, Sheri demonstrated resilience by earning her Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Harrisburg Area Community College in 1999, followed by a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy from Penn State in 2001, and finally her Juris Doctor from the Dickinson School of Law in 2004.

During her time in law school, Sheri concentrated on tax law, but her professional path quickly shifted to family law. She has managed complex custody and divorce cases, frequently involving the Cumberland County Children and Youth Agency, across several counties including Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lebanon, Perry, and York. In 2017, Sheri was appointed as a Custody Conciliator for Cumberland County, where she facilitates parental agreements that prioritize children's welfare and refers unresolved issues to the Court.

Sheri's expertise also extends to criminal defense and advocacy in Protection from Abuse cases. She has represented parents in child welfare proceedings, including challenging indicated findings of abuse, and has successfully assisted numerous clients in appealing denied Social Security disability claims. Her practice continues to focus on representing private clients in custody disputes and marital property issues.

In her personal life, Sheri enjoys attending professional sports events and cherishing time with her children and grandchildren. She resides in Central Pennsylvania with her pets.
