Richard J. Welch

Richard J. Welch Esq. brings more than twenty years of legal expertise, focusing on the review and negotiation of commercial, employment, and construction contracts. As a seasoned attorney, Richard has a comprehensive background in litigation and contract law.

Before joining Palumbo Law, Richard served as senior counsel at Solidifi in Middletown, RI. His experience extends to his role as Vice President and Litigation Counsel at the Fidelity National Law Group in Boston, MA, where he acted as a trial attorney in Massachusetts and Rhode Island Superior Courts, addressing title issues in commercial and residential real estate.

In his previous position as Principal and Trial Attorney at Moses, Alfonso & Ryan, Richard provided legal counsel to non-profit community-based mental health providers and private schools. His work involved advising on confidentiality of healthcare information, school records, and corporate disputes. Additionally, he managed business disputes and construction industry actions.

Richard has successfully tried cases in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island state and federal courts. He is admitted to practice in the District, State, and Federal Courts of both Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
