David Parker Geis

David Parker Geis is a highly respected family law attorney practicing in the South Carolina Low Country, covering areas such as Beaufort and Jasper County. He holds the position of of counsel at the White Plains, New York law firm Kramer & Kozek, P.C. Known for his ethical standards, Mr. Geis has received the highest peer review rating from Martindale Hubbell and is listed in the national Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers in both New York and South Carolina.

Mr. Geis has been a pivotal member of the legal community, serving as a member and past Chairman of the Family Law Council of the South Carolina Bar, as well as Past President of the Beaufort County Bar. He has shared his expertise through lectures on family law and contributions to the Toolkit for Family Lawyers.

With over 35 years of experience in matrimonial law, Mr. Geis has practiced in both New York State and South Carolina. For the past 15 years, he has focused his practice almost exclusively in South Carolina. He is also a Certified Family Law Mediator in both South Carolina and New York State, obtaining his certification in New York in 1993 and in South Carolina in 2001.

Mr. Geis's academic credentials include a B.A. from Adelphi University (1966), a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law (1972), and an LLM from New York University School of Law (1977). He is a Vietnam Veteran, having served as an officer on active duty in the U.S. Army.
