Reece Almond

Reece Almond is a distinguished partner and litigation attorney at Davenport Evans, with a focus on commercial and complex litigation, land-use disputes, and insurance-defense cases. Originally hailing from Huron, South Dakota, Reece has been with the firm since 2014, following his education at the University of South Dakota where he earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and political science.

Reece is an alumnus of the University of Minnesota Law School and has honed his legal skills clerking for the Honorable Karen E. Schreier at the U.S. District Court of South Dakota. His professional excellence was recognized in 2019 when he was named to the Great Plains Rising Stars by Great Plains Super Lawyers in the area of Business Litigation, an accolade awarded to no more than 2.5% of lawyers in a state each year.

Beyond his legal practice, Reece is actively involved in the community, serving on the boards of the Sioux Falls Public Schools Education Foundation and the Friends of the Big Sioux River. He also contributes as a volunteer judge for the Sioux Empire Teen Court program. In his leisure time, Reece enjoys golfing, basketball, kayaking, hiking, and biking.
