Daniel Joseph Taylor

Daniel J. Taylor is a distinguished criminal defense attorney residing in Jackson, Tennessee, focusing on both state and federal cases in West Tennessee. As a partner at Spragins, Barnett & Cobb, he offers a wealth of experience in criminal defense law.

He holds certification as a Criminal Trial Specialist from the National Board of Trial Advocacy and the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization, with recertifications every five years since 2000. Additionally, he is qualified under the Tennessee Supreme Court Rules to act as lead counsel in capital cases and appeals.

Mr. Taylor has played a pivotal role in over 125 criminal jury trials, serving as either lead or co-counsel. His background includes experience in both defense and prosecution, having previously worked with the Tennessee Attorney General's office (Criminal Division) and as Chief Assistant Public Defender for the Twenty-sixth Judicial District.
