John Benjamin Moore

John B. Moore is a distinguished attorney based in El Paso, Texas, with a robust background in Immigration & Nationality Law. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication with a focus on Argumentation from the University of Utah and his Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania. Following his graduation, Mr. Moore was selected for the Attorney General’s Honors Program at the Department of Justice’s Executive Office for Immigration Review, where he provided advisory services and wrote decisions for eleven immigration judges in Texas.

Mr. Moore's career includes significant contributions to several federal agencies critical to immigration law. He has drafted decisions for the Board of Alien Labor Certification Appeals and argued before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, challenging ICE's detention and due process policies. After his tenure in government service, he became the Managing Attorney for the El Paso and Albuquerque offices of a major immigration law firm, where he successfully handled thousands of cases. His expertise spans complex visitor visa applications, work and investor visas, bond proceedings, deportation defense, and family-based immigration cases at USCIS and the US Consulate in Ciudad Juarez.

Before his legal career, Mr. Moore served as a sergeant in the United States Army at Ft. Bliss, completing four tours in the Middle East. He also participated in Americorps through the Teach for America program, teaching Middle School English in the Rio Grande Valley. His commitment to social justice is evident from his work as a community organizer, advocating for the rights of immigrants and residents along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Mr. Moore is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and practices immigration law across all U.S. jurisdictions. He is an active member of the Federal Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the US-Mexico Bar Association, and the Alumni of the Ivy League.
