Georgia Barker was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, and has spent much of her life in Houston. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin, where she was one of only three women in her graduating class of 104 students. She continued her education at the University of Tulsa, College of Law, obtaining a Juris Doctor in 1993 and joining the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.
Admitted to the Oklahoma State Bar in 1994 and the Texas State Bar in 1995, Ms. Barker is also authorized to practice in the United States Federal Court, Southern District of Texas, since 2015. An advocate for lifelong learning, she consistently exceeds the required credits for continuing legal education, earning her recognition as a Fellow Member of the Texas State Bar College.
Ms. Barker's practice focuses on Family Law, including divorces, modifications, support, conservatorship, paternity, adoptions, and terminations.
