Glenn A. Jarrett

Glenn A. Jarrett, a founder of Jarrett | Hoyt in South Burlington, Vermont, specializes in estate planning, elder law, special needs, guardianship, Medicaid planning, and probate and trust administration. As one of only two attorneys in Vermont certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation, Glenn brings significant expertise to his practice.

Admitted to practice in Vermont, Glenn is an active member of the Chittenden County and Vermont Bar Associations. He is a former President of the Vermont chapter of NAELA, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and a member of VERG, the Vermont Elder Resource Group.

Glenn frequently presents continuing education seminars for attorneys and financial professionals. His presentations have been delivered at prestigious organizations such as the New England Regional ACTEC meeting, the Alzheimer's Association of Vermont, and the Vermont Bar Association, among others.

His public service includes appointments by two governors to the Governor's Commission on Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders. He has also contributed to the community as a board member of the Champlain Valley Agency on Aging from 2011 to 2017.

Glenn earned his degree in Political Science with honors from Middlebury College and graduated from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as a senior editor of the international law review. Following law school, he clerked for Hon. Albert W. Coffrin, United States District Judge for the District of Vermont.

His legal career spans both public and private sectors, including nine years as a Vermont Assistant Attorney General. Glenn resides in Burlington with his family.
