Matthew C. Perushek

Matthew C. Perushek has devoted his entire career to practicing personal injury law, exclusively representing plaintiffs affected by others' negligence. His expertise spans a variety of cases, including wrongful death, medical malpractice, brain injury, products liability, and serious automobile collisions. Matthew has successfully tried cases across Virginia, including Fairfax, Arlington, Prince William, Loudoun, Henrico, and Fredericksburg, and has significant experience in federal court, particularly with the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA).

Matthew has contributed to the legal community by authoring briefs for the Supreme Court of Virginia and presenting arguments before the Court multiple times. He is a member of the Amicus Curiae Committee of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, advocating for the rights and welfare of injured individuals facing critical legal issues.

Since joining the firm, Matthew has played a key role in numerous successful trials and settlements. His professional achievements have been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star since 2015 and by The National Trial Lawyers Association as a Top 40 Under 40.

Matthew actively participates in the legal community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Fairfax Bar Association and the Board of Governors for the Virginia State Bar's Young Lawyers Conference. He is also engaged with the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.

Originally from Northern Minnesota, Matthew was a member of the U.S. Junior National Curling Team, where he won a World Junior Championship and competed in the U.S. Olympic Trials for the 2010 Olympics. He relocated to Virginia to pursue his legal education. Prior to joining his current firm, he clerked for the Honorable Michael F. Devine of the Fairfax County Circuit Court.
