Christopher MacGillis

Christopher J. MacGillis, a founding partner at MacGillis Law Group, LLC, is dedicated to personal injury law and the representation of first responders, including police officers, firefighters, and labor unions throughout Wisconsin. Known for his thorough preparation and results-oriented advocacy, Chris has successfully represented clients in both state and federal courts.

Chris obtained his law degree, cum laude, from Marquette University Law School and earned his B.A. in Economics from Lawrence University, where he was a captain of the men's basketball team and received all-academic and all-conference honors. His athletic achievements were recognized with his induction into the Pius XI High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

Throughout his career, Chris has managed cases involving grievances, arbitrations, disciplinary actions, terminations, collective bargaining, officer-involved shootings, duty disability claims, and vehicle accidents involving law enforcement and fire personnel. He has secured substantial recoveries for clients in personal injury cases across Wisconsin.

Appointed by the Chief Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, Chris serves as Chair of the Wisconsin Office of Lawyer Regulation District Committee. A lifelong Wisconsin resident, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Ann, and their children, Grace, Josephine, and Owen.
