About Michael Hayes
Michael M. Hayes, a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, co-founded the law firm of Hayes & Rothstein in 1983, where he practiced law until 2019. A graduate of Marquette University Law School with a Juris Doctor degree in 1981, Mr. Hayes was the Lead Articles Editor for the Law Review. He also gained invaluable experience as a Judicial Intern for Wisconsin Court of Appeals Chief Judge John Decker. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Notre Dame, graduating in 1977.
Within three years of establishing his firm, Mr. Hayes was listed in Best Lawyers in America, having grown the firm to become the largest consumer Chapter 7 law firm in Wisconsin. His extensive legal practice includes family law and bankruptcy law, where he has provided guidance and referrals to respected attorneys, earning him the trust of his clients as a knowledgeable advisor.
Mr. Hayes is admitted to the Wisconsin Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin since 1981.
