Brian Schuk

Brian A. Schuk is a dedicated attorney with extensive expertise in landlord-tenant law, representing both landlords and tenants. He founded Schuk Law, LLC in June 2017, following a successful 12-year partnership at Wassel, Harvey & Schuk, LLP. Brian provides skilled assistance in negotiating leases, handling evictions, and resolving disputes over damages and security deposits. Additionally, he is knowledgeable about HUD and Rural Development regulations, earning a respected reputation in Wisconsin for his profound understanding of the field.

Brian has contributed significantly to legal education through speaking engagements with Sterling Education Services (SES), Wisconsin State Bar's Pinnacle, and various local associations. Notably, in May 2017, he chaired Pinnacle's webinar, "From Evictions to Damages," featuring discussions with local commissioners and a circuit court judge. As an adjunct professor, he teaches at both UW-Madison Law School and Marquette University Law School.

In 2016, Brian authored a featured article for the State Bar of Wisconsin's Inside Track, titled "New Law Gives Landlords More Tools to Remove Problem Tenants," which analyzed the implications of the 2015 Wisconsin Act 176. He is also contributing to the State Bar of Wisconsin's forthcoming publication, the Wisconsin Landlord/Tenant Manual, for Books Unbound.

Beyond landlord-tenant law, Brian represents clients in commercial and residential real estate, probate administration, and estate planning. He is an active member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and served as the President of the Walworth County Bar Association. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and his J.D.
