Matthew Lein

Matthew Lein has dedicated nearly his entire legal career to advocating for consumers, workers facing unfair business practices, individuals injured outside of work, and those applying for Social Security benefits. His practice encompasses a wide range of areas, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Truth-in-Lending Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Wisconsin Consumer Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and Ch. 102: Workers Compensation.

Matthew is highly skilled in all facets of litigation, from trials to appeals. He has appeared in nearly every court venue in Wisconsin, including state, bankruptcy, district, and tribal courts, and regularly presents cases before administrative law judges. Additionally, he has litigated in both state and bankruptcy courts in Minnesota. His expertise extends to handling both individual and class action cases.

In his notable role as co-lead class attorney in Veness v. Heywood, Cari & Anderson, S.C., No. 17-CV-338-BBC, 2017 WL 6759382, Matthew demonstrated his leadership in complex litigation. He actively contributes to the legal community as a board member of the Wisconsin Association of Worker's Compensation Attorneys (WAWCA).

Matthew is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the Wisconsin Association of Worker's Compensation Attorneys (WAWCA), Wisconsin Association for Justice (WAJ), and National Association Consumer Attorneys (NACA). He has also served as past-President of the Tri-County Bar Association (Sawyer, Washburn, and Rusk).
