About Raymond Dall'Osto
Raymond M. Dall'Osto is a seasoned partner at Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is admitted to practice in both Wisconsin and Illinois. His comprehensive practice encompasses white-collar and criminal defense across federal and state courts, as well as the defense of regulatory investigations, professional discipline cases, ethics and licensing issues, civil litigation, personal injury, employment law, and constitutional rights.
Ray earned his law degree from Marquette University Law School in 1977. From 1985 to 1990, he contributed to the academic community as an adjunct professor at Marquette and also lectured at the University of Wisconsin Law School.
Before entering private practice, Ray served as the Legal Director for the American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin. He was also a felony trial attorney and director of the public defender office in Milwaukee. His leadership extended to the State Bar Board of Governors, where he served multiple terms, and he chaired the State Bar Criminal Law and Individual Rights Sections. Additionally, he contributed to the Professional Ethics Committee, Legislative Oversight Committee, and served as a Fee Arbitrator.
Ray was appointed to the Wisconsin Legislature’s Wrongful Conviction Task Force, where he played a key role in drafting reforms related to interrogation and identification procedures. His commitment to criminal justice, equal rights, and sentencing reform is well-known. Over the years, he has developed and presented numerous continuing legal education (CLE) programs focusing on criminal law, evidence, constitutional rights, and legal ethics.
