Steven Heintz

Steven E. Heintz is a founding partner at Heintz & Becker, specializing in personal injury law. Raised in Bradenton, he earned his degrees from Manatee Junior College and the University of South Florida. Prior to his legal career, he worked as a private investigator. He completed his Juris Doctorate at Florida State University, College of Law in 1980 and was admitted to the Florida Bar the same year.

Mr. Heintz began his legal career in the Public Defender's office in Bradenton and later served in the State Attorney's office in West Palm Beach. For over 25 years, he has dedicated his practice to representing victims of catastrophic personal injuries and accidents. He is recognized as a board-certified civil trial specialist by both the Florida Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. His excellence in the field is further acknowledged by his inclusion in Super Lawyers and his AV-rating by Martindale-Hubbell® Law Directory.

Steven Heintz is an active member of the President's Club of the Florida Justice Association and the American Association for Justice. He supports Mothers Against Drunk Driving and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which honors trial lawyers who have secured verdicts or settlements of one million dollars or more. He contributed a chapter to Florida Evidence, published by Lawyers Cooperative in 1996.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Heintz is a Master in the American Inns of Court and frequently lectures at continuing education seminars for attorneys. He is married to Dr. Joan Blackford-Heintz and is a father to three sons.
