Donald A. Kurasch

Donald A. Kurasch, admitted to practice in Illinois since 1972, focuses exclusively on civil litigation. His areas of expertise include plaintiff’s personal injury, medical negligence, corporate litigation, nursing home negligence, auto collisions, premises liability, FELA, products liability, and wrongful discharge. Donald has secured multimillion-dollar settlements for his clients, including recent cases with settlements of $7.5 million and $4.8 million, as well as a trial verdict of $4.8 million.

Donald is a frequent speaker on injury law and was recently recognized as one of the top 100 trial lawyers by the National Trial Lawyer. He has been consistently named among the top 5% of lawyers in Illinois since the selection process began. His speaking engagements include the Chicago Bar Association, the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, union groups, and nursing schools. Donald has also served as a guest lecturer on Urban Law at the Chicago Junior College system.

In 1977, Donald was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He holds the title of Advocate from the American Board of Trial Advocates and is a long-standing member of the American Arbitration Association's panel of arbitrators.

Donald is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the Chicago Bar Association, American Bar Association, Illinois Trial Lawyer’s Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, and Illinois State Bar Association.

A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Law, Donald earned his Bachelor of Arts from Grinnell College in 1967. Born in Oklahoma City, he has resided in Chicago since childhood, influenced by his father, a labor union president, to passionately advocate for his clients.
