Gregory Michael Funfsinn

Gregory Michael Funfsinn earned his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2007. He began his legal career at the Cook County State's Attorney's Office (CCSAO), the second-largest prosecutors' office in the nation, as an Assistant State's Attorney. Initially working in the Appeals Division, Greg refined his skills in legal research and writing, successfully arguing multiple cases in the Illinois Court of Appeals and authoring nearly 35 appellate briefs.

After gaining substantial experience, Greg was promoted to the 4th District Criminal Trial Division. Here, he managed over 100 bench trials, numerous jury trials, and hundreds of court hearings. During his tenure in Chicago, he met his wife, Aaron Ann Rose Cole, also a criminal prosecutor. Aaron Ann, a native of Lexington, Kentucky, has family ties in Fayette and Mercer Counties. The couple married in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, in 2012 and have two young sons. Aaron Ann continues her prosecutorial work as an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney in Fayette County.

Upon relocating to Kentucky, Greg joined two of the state's largest and most respected law firms, representing a diverse clientele in various legal disputes. With the establishment of Hicks & Funfsinn, PLLC, Greg leverages his extensive experience in handling injury claims and litigation. He has participated in hundreds of depositions, numerous court hearings, oral arguments, and several jury trials.
