David V. Calviello

David V. Calviello, a Partner at Calcagni & Kanefsky, brings a wealth of experience from his extensive career as a New Jersey prosecutor. In his role as a former Trial Chief in the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, he honed his skills in litigation and trial proceedings, making him a formidable presence in the courtroom. Throughout his 25-year tenure as a state prosecutor, David handled a diverse array of criminal cases, trying nearly 60 jury trials. His rise to the position of Chief Prosecutor in Bergen County is a testament to his leadership and expertise. As Trial Chief, David led a team of prosecutors, managing serious criminal cases and exercising plea authority. Additionally, he served as Chief of the Special Investigations Squad, where he directed complex investigations using wiretaps, search warrants, and undercover operations to dismantle organized crime networks in the region.

In his recent role as President of the Assistant Prosecutors’ Association of New Jersey, David played a pivotal role in revitalizing the organization, achieving significant successes for state prosecutors and DAGs across New Jersey.
