Alexandra Cervantes

Alexandra Cervantes, a passionate trial lawyer in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is committed to advocating for patients and families who have suffered life-changing injuries due to the negligence of large corporations and healthcare providers. In the past year, she has successfully secured more than $30 million in jury verdicts for her clients. A proud New Mexican, Alex was born and raised in Las Cruces.

Initially pursuing a career in medicine, Alex earned her degrees in Biology and Psychology and began medical school. However, witnessing the systemic failures harming individuals led her to shift focus, earning a law degree to advocate for broader change. She graduated at the top of her class and gained valuable experience clerking for two federal judges on the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the District Court for the District of Wyoming.

Alex applies her scientific expertise to her legal practice, expertly analyzing accident reconstruction data, interpreting complex records, and collaborating with experts to uncover the truth. Her meticulous preparation and deep understanding of both medicine and law make her a formidable presence in the courtroom, where she excels in persuasive trial advocacy.

Beyond her legal practice, Alex teaches advanced evidence at the University of New Mexico School of Law. She is also dedicated to community service, volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children and serving as President of the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Foundation.
