Daniel Deuterman

Daniel Deuterman has built a distinguished career in Workers’ Compensation Law, achieving some of North Carolina's highest settlements for injured workers and their families. As a Board Certified Specialist, Daniel represents a select group of attorneys in this field. He is also a proud member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, reflecting his success in high-value cases.

Beyond his legal practice, Daniel is actively involved in community service. He supports various charities and organizations through his time, expertise, and financial donations. Together with his wife, Dawne, he endows a scholarship at the UNC School of Law.

Daniel's commitment to protecting the rights of injured individuals extends to his political activities, including founding the grassroots organization Protect N.C. Workers. He received his undergraduate degree from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1987 and earned his J.D. from the UNC School of Law, joining the N.C. State Bar in 1991.

In 2003, Daniel established the Deuterman Law Group. His leadership roles include positions within the N.C. Bar Association, and both he and his firm are recognized for their pro bono efforts, ethics, and community service.

Daniel is affiliated with the N.C. Advocates for Justice (NCAJ), the N.C. Bar Association (NCBA), the Workers’ Injury Law and Advocacy Group (WILG), the Greensboro Bar Association (GBA), and the Guilford Inn of Court. He was admitted to the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court in 2005.

In 2011, Daniel was honored with the Ebbie Award by the NCAJ for his dedicated service and commitment. That same year, he received another accolade from the NCAJ’s workers’ compensation section, recognizing his extraordinary contributions to justice for injured workers in North Carolina.
