About Buta Biberaj
Buta Biberaj, originally from Montenegro and of Albanian heritage, grew up in the Bronx, New York. She earned her B.S. in Education from George Mason University in 1987 and her Juris Doctorate from George Mason University School of Law in 1993. Licensed to practice in the State Courts of Virginia, Maryland, and New York, she is also admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States.
Buta is deeply engaged in her community, contributing as a mentor for the Leadership in Law program and participating in mock trials at the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy. She is a speaker and mentor for the Loudoun County Public Schools on Law Day and serves on the Board of Directors for A Advantage 4 Kids, Inc., supporting families and children in Northern Virginia.
As a dedicated member of the Loudoun County Bar Association, Buta held the position of President during the 2014-2015 term. She initiated the "Street Law" program, connecting local attorneys with students at the Douglas School in Leesburg to educate them on juvenile rights concerning employment, criminal, and civil law.
