Nicole A. Kobis

Nicole A. Kobis is a dedicated attorney with a focus on family law, providing expert guidance on divorce, custody, spousal support, child support, equitable distribution, and domestic violence cases. She is proficient in drafting complex pre and post-judgment motions and nondissolution applications and is skilled in negotiating and drafting marital settlement agreements. In 2017, Nicole became an accredited New Jersey Family and Divorce Mediator, enabling her to serve both individuals and attorneys effectively.

Before joining her current law firm, Nicole gained invaluable experience as a law clerk to the Honorable Katherine R. Dupuis, P.J.F.P., at the New Jersey Superior Court in Union County. During her clerkship, she concentrated on family law, particularly pre and post-judgment matrimonial matters, including child support, alimony, parenting time, and equitable distribution. This role provided her with a unique perspective on the judicial system, which she leverages to offer strategic insights to her clients.

Nicole earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law-Newark, where she served as the Managing Editor of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter. Her scholarly note, “Beauty is in the Eye of the Retoucher: Why Photoshopped Magazine Images Require Regulation,” was published in Volume 33 of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter.

During her law school years, Nicole interned for the Honorable Thomas M. Moore, J.S.C., at the New Jersey Superior Court in Essex County, focusing on domestic violence issues, and for the Honorable Paul J. Vichness, J.S.C. (ret.), dealing with civil matters.

Nicole is actively involved in the legal community as a member of both the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Union County Bar Association.
